Getting started
How do we pair up?
One of you finishes setup and taps Send an invite. Share the message with your partner however you like. Your partner installs Pairlings, finishes their setup, taps Enter code and pastes the whole message. The app picks out the code by itself, so there is nothing to retype.
The pairing code isn't working
A code works once and expires after 48 hours. Ask your partner to tap My code for a fresh one, and check you both have the latest version of the app. You can paste the whole invite, or type just the six characters, with or without the dash.
Whose question settings are used?
The person who sends the invite sets how long you've been together and which topics you get. Their partner sees a summary when they join. Either of you can change these later in Settings.
Playing
When can I see my partner's answer?
Only once you have both answered that day's question. No peeking, for either of you.
When does a new question arrive?
Every day at midnight on your phone. Answer on the same day to keep your streak going.
Turning sounds down
Go to Settings › App. You can switch sound off completely, or use the sliders to set the volume of effects, scenery and music separately.
Pairlings Plus
What does Plus include?
Every premium move and accessory, all question packs, seasonal items as soon as they unlock, and your full answer history. Your first 7 days include everything for free.
Do we both need to buy it?
No. One Plus covers you both, so only one of you needs to buy it.
Restore a purchase
Open the Plus screen and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the same Google Play or Apple account you bought it with.
Cancel a subscription
On Android: Google Play › Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Pairlings. On iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Pairlings. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store, so refunds are handled by them. For Google Play, see Google's refund page.
Your account and data
Unpair
Settings › Partner › Unpair. This ends your shared game for both of you.
Delete my account
Settings › Privacy and help › Delete my account. This erases your name and answers, ends your pairing and resets the app. It can't be undone. You can also email info@utterlyuselessllc.com and we'll erase it for you.
Getting a new phone
Your Pairlings account lives on your phone. Email us before you remove the app from your old phone and we'll help you keep your couple.
