Hydro Gang is a water tracker made by Utterly Useless LLC. We built it to keep as little about you as possible.
What stays on your phone
Your drinks, goal, body details, health answers, reminders and settings are stored only on your device. If you turn on Apple Health or Health Connect sync, water you log is written there and workout minutes are read from there. This data never leaves your phone.
Hydration buddies (optional)
If you set up buddies, we store a random ID, the nickname you choose, your chosen character, today's percentage of your goal and the date, so your buddies can see them. We never store what you drank. Leaving buddies in Settings deletes this from our server straight away. Our server is hosted by Supabase.
Gang Pass purchases
Payments are handled by Apple or Google Play. RevenueCat records which anonymous app ID owns the Pass so it can be restored. We never see your card or Apple ID details.
Weather goal (optional)
Your approximate location, rounded to about 1 km, is sent to MET Norway to get today's forecast. We don't store it.
Ramadan mode (optional)
If you choose to use your location for Ramadan mode, your approximate location is saved on your phone and used there to work out Fajr and Maghrib times. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
No ads, no tracking
We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we don't sell data.
Children
Hydro Gang is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
You can delete everything in Settings › Reset › Erase everything, leave buddies at any time, and turn off Health or location access in your phone's settings.

Reminders not arriving?
Check your phone's Settings › Notifications › Hydro Gang, and make sure Focus or Low Power Mode isn't holding them back.
Restore your Gang Pass
Open the Gang Pass screen in the app and tap Restore Purchase.
Cancel a subscription
On iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Hydro Gang. On Android: Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.
Delete your data
In the app: Settings › Reset › Erase everything.
